The ADRA warehouse
ADRA Food Pantry
What
Why
My project is a documentary style promotional video for the Adventist Development and Relief Agency in Northern Australia, which operate a food distribution program in Townsville called the ADRA Food Pantry.
This project is important because it will shine a light on the Food Pantry’s operation, needs, how it assists those in need and how people and businesses can help.
I have identified stories that stem from the Food Pantry location. I have used my phone and a camera in a studio to interview some people who are instrumental in the Food Pantry on location and elsewhere.
I will prepare and understand my equipment including charging my phone and camera, SD card, tripod, microphone, computer and hard drives so I am ready to go.
I will record any more stories and footage needed for the production in the forms of video, camera and audio.
I will edit my project including video, audio and photos.
I will upload the finished production to my YouTube channel New Creation Media Production.
I will share my production as much as possible on the internet.
The resources I will need include my phone, camera, tripod, microphone, SD card, charger cables, dongle, portable hard drives and notebook and pen.
The people involved in the project include myself, the Northern Australia ADRA Director, the Townsville ADRA Food Pantry managers, people who have and are helping with the Food Pantry and hopefully someone who is a recipient of the Food Pantry. I will also be mentored by Michael Bromage and assisted to stay focused by personal support workers.
The barriers involved in my production include my mental health in terms of focusing my racing thoughts, educating me on how to organise a project and consolidating the footage from various devices into one place. Michael is also teaching me to organise the footage into folders in an ordered way which I find extremely difficult and is a barrier to me completing projects. I don’t have my own transport so accessing transport to the locations is a consideration. I also need assistance learning to use equipment and editing program.
I will film the project at the Townsville ADRA Food Pantry at 127 Francis Street in West End and work on the project at the DAKTECH office and studio. I will also visit other locations in Townsville that ADRA delivers food to during the week.
I will complete the project in the next 2 to 3 weeks.
