ACCESS
Ease of access for CRU: Some barriers for CRU access (3)
Staff will listen to your needs and if available can help you get started or link you with someone who might be available to help. If you can demonstrate that you can use the resources safely, and the resource is available when you need it, you may be able to book and use a resource to pursue your project during standard working hours (M-F, 10-4). If not, you can schedule an induction session or attend a CRU Social on a Tuesday night at DakTech to meet others who are already familiar with DakTech’s makerspace facility.
CRU autonomy: Lots of freedom (3)
Made for…
Anyone who wants to make things.
We recommend people first drop in, call, or email to introduce yourself and what you would like to do in our makerspace. If you know how to use the resources you wish to access, book a time to use the resource: https://daktech.com.au/maker-space-bookings/
Cost
Please contact DakTech for access cost: https://daktech.com.au/
Costs vary depending on customer needs and projects. For example, participants of the creative underground research initiatives, particularly those from low-income families, may use DakTech’s makerspace for free during the ‘social inclusion initiative’ timeframe. See initiatives on the creative underground website: https://creativeunderground.city/initiatives/
